Applicants must have a Fachhochschulreife, allgemeine Hochschulreife, Abitur, or an equivalent recognized educational qualification. They must be between 16 and 35 years old at the time of desired enrollment, possess German or EU citizenship (exceptions possible), and meet health and character suitability requirements. The application process includes passing a selection procedure and providing proof of a German swimming badge (at least bronze) not older than three years at the time of enrollment.

Eligibility: Top athletes who are members of a German national squad (Olympic, Perspective, Supplementary, Junior Squad 1 or 2) in a focus sport supported by the DOSB, or team players in a top league. A positive assessment from the state sports association and the Brandenburg Olympic Training Centre is required.
